Terms of service
Last updated 11 September 2026.
1. What Wilma is
Wilma is an API that classifies message text and returns a fraud verdict. It is decision support. It is not a decision, and it does not replace your own fraud controls or your obligations to your customers.
2. Pilot status
Wilma is in pilot. There is no service level agreement, no guaranteed uptime, and the models may change without notice as they improve. We will tell pilot customers when a model changes, because it may change your results.
3. Your API key
Keep it secret. You are responsible for calls made with your key. Tell us immediately if it is exposed and we will revoke and reissue it. We store only a hash of your key, so we cannot recover it for you.
4. Acceptable use
Use Wilma to screen messages for fraud. Do not use it to build a competing classifier from our outputs, to attack the service, to exceed rate limits deliberately, or to process data you have no lawful right to process.
5. Your data
You keep all rights in the content you send. We do not store message content and we do not train on it. See the privacy policy. Where the content includes personal data of your customers, you are the controller and we are your processor.
6. Accuracy
No fraud classifier is correct every time and ours is not either. We publish our measured accuracy, including our failures, so you can judge it. You accept that Wilma will sometimes flag a legitimate message and sometimes miss a fraudulent one, and you agree to design your own systems on that assumption.
7. Fees
Pilot use is free. If we introduce charges we will agree them with you in writing before any are incurred.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Wilma is provided as is, and we are not liable for losses arising from fraud that was missed, from legitimate messages that were flagged, or from the service being unavailable. This does not limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Ending it
Either of us may stop at any time. On termination your keys are revoked and your account records are deleted in line with the privacy policy.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
